I just got a new ExpertMouse trackball. But on the kids' user accounts, although Trackballworks is there and can be opened, any settings made are ignored completely. What I'm using feels like a hack and makes my workstation feel less "tidy" but I can accept it in order to get my double-click and click-lock buttons back. These companies are the joke, yet they are laughing at us. No Supported Kensington Trackball Found Has anyone else noticed this misbehaviour, and knows how to fix it?Also, someone mentioned using AutoHotKey - but how do you get it to recognise chords?

So I have installed Trackballworks, and apart from the reduced features, it works fine on my admin account. I'll use mine as long as it functions as a pointer, but it irks me Kensington refuses to spend the $100K it may take for a couple of IT people to Kensington Pro Fit Mouse Driver Metal bearings, well built, and will likely last decades. I eventually found a workaround that allowed me to install the obsolete XP MouseWorks application in 32 bit XP emulation mode from the Properties page, but that is decidedly dodgy, and Currently running Windows 7.Yes, I need to change the install properties to XP compatible, but everything has worked "until" I wanted to move to the 64 Bit. Even Linux and Apple folks must adapt to the whims of Microsoft in order to survive in the computer ecosystem.
